The Takata NSX uses BRIDGESTONE POTENZA tyres on 18" rims. Tyre sizes are 310/30R18 for the front and 330/40R18 for the rear (the rear is larger for better traction since the NSX is MR). The rims are VOLK RACING. Enthusiasts like to talk about cross-drilled brake discs on their cars but consider this; JGTC NSX'es like Takata's NSX uses only slotted ventilated discs. But notice that the size of the rear disc is almost as large as the front ! Though well known, obviously not all the fastest cars uses BREMBO, Takata's NSX uses ALCON 6-pot calipers. The discs are ALCON too. Both the front and rear discs are ventilated.

The most outstanding feature of the JGTC NSX'es must be their 'snorkel' air-intakes. The NSX is MR, with the engine behind the driver's cockpit so the snorkel on the Takata NSX is meant for optimum air-intake. Note the trumpet/ventrulli construct inside the snorkel. This is the air restrictor used in JGTC to ensure that the GT500 cars are limited to a max of 500ps power. The size of the air-restrictor is meant to limit air-flow to the engine to an amount enough to support a max of 500ps power output. According to last year's official JGTC promotional brochures, the 2002 Takata NSX delivers around 480ps.
