Dear wildorchid
According to your file you are a "pharmacist"

I have this question for you
One of my relative is living in the states for long time and he came yesterday for UMRAH and Eid holiday> Unfortunately he discovered on arrival that he forgot his medication back in the state> The name of the drug is "NARDIL"
We couldn,t find this medicine anywhere in the whole city and then a pharmacist told us that it is not available locally but he told us that there is something similar called "AURORIX"
My relative is quite afraid to use something not prescribed by his doctor.

IS IT REALLY SIMILAR ?

Hi click
In away they are similar since both are similar since
they are both MAOIs,but the Moclobemide (aurorox)or (manerix(
is the newer generation of that family with less side effects
BUT it needs time to start it's action,'n' you just can't go 'n' replace it 'cos it's not gonna have an action till several days as with most of antidepres
NO he shouldn't use it for a short time as a replacement for his original drug, though as i said they are almost the sime but
there are so much things 2 consider half life, blood concentration 'n' stuff like that
i hope that i've helped
but i'm here n case if u needed any further assistant

sincerely,
H

Thank you so much
I was very anxious to know your answer
However, we called a friend in Egypt and he sent us the "NARDIL" with somebody who came last night and things went smoothly>
Believe me it was a hard time for my relative but it is over now
I appreciate your response greatly
Best regards
