We’ve been reporting on a super Corvette for a couple years, and now General Motors got Corvette fans salivating at Laguna Seca, when it wheeled out the upcoming Corvette Blue Devil for some hot laps. The car ran a couple laps then was loaded back on the car hauler. Rumor has it the car will be called ZR1 when it goes on sale sometime next year. Look for the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 to crank out some 650 hp. The engine will be hand-built at a rate of 1500-2000 per year at the General Motors Performance Center outside Detroit, and features an integrated intake manifold intercooler similar to the one GM developed

Expect GM to build just a couple thousand a year priced at a cool $100,000 per copy.
