؟Why the Festival
The idea of the used book is to enhance the cultural social and voluntary awareness of the community factions and supporting this awareness through spreading the values of contribution in words and practically in on activity based upon voluntary efforts of the students in schools, universities, their parents and business men with their economical firms that care to the development of the society from different aspects. This activity aims to generalize the book culture and the chance to possess it, exchange it with financially unable readers, in addition to launching new tradition which raises the matter of culture and the book and achieve a human noble goal by devoting the revenue to support programs submitted to persons with special needs

Goals of the festival
.It has the following social, cultural and entertaining objectives*
.Enhance the book value and importance through encouraging reading*
.Developing the spirit of voluntary work among individuals of various ages*
.Enhance cultural and social value in the community*
.Provide financial revenue to Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services by a new creative means*
.Contribute in exposing Qanat Al- Qasba as a cultural and tourist landmark*
Main activities
(Setting up booths along the sides of the Qanat Al Qasba for selling used books and CDs (Games, Music and Programs*
.Categorized according to subject and value
.Display and selling portraits*
.Hosting artists of plastic art, caricature and drawing portraits for the public against certain payment*
.A corner for reading stories to children*
.Hosting writers and famous authors the sign new or used books*
.Organizing morning activities for schools*
.Organizing old magazines and news papers fair*
.Participation of blood donation car for those who wish to donate with blood*
.Raffle draws and valuable prizes and various entertaining activities*
.Any other suitable ideas, stands for snacks, soft drinks and candies*
